vetkar helps pet owners in Delhi NCR find veterinary clinics. In this policy, “we” and “vetkar” mean the operator of vetkar.in. Questions go to hello@vetkar.in.

You can search for vets without an account. If you do, we may collect:

• Searches: what you type or describe, the locality you enter, and the filters you use.
• Location: your device's location, only if you tap “Use my location” and allow it in your browser. We use it to show distances.
• Account details: your email address, your name if you give one, and a password (stored in hashed form, never in plain text). If you use Google sign-in, we receive your name and email from Google.
• Pet records you add: your pet's name, species, and any vaccinations, allergies, medications, notes or other records you choose to enter.
• Technical data: basic device, browser and error information, so we can keep the site working and fix problems.

• To show you clinics that fit your search and your area.
• To run your account and keep your pet's records.
• To improve search results and fix errors.
• To keep vetkar secure and prevent misuse.
• To contact you about your account or a request you made.

When you describe a concern in your own words, your text is processed by an automated system to suggest the kind of clinic or service to look for. It doesn't diagnose your pet. Please don't include personal details about yourself, such as phone numbers or addresses, in these descriptions.

We don't sell your personal information. Your pet's records are private to your account unless you create a share link, in which case anyone with the link can view what you shared until it expires or you turn it off.

We use service providers to host the site, store data, send email and process searches. They may handle your information only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Clinic details and ratings on vetkar come from clinics and from public sources. Each rating shows its source. This is information about businesses, not about you.

We use cookies or local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences such as light or dark mode, and keep the site working. You can clear or block them in your browser, but sign-in may stop working.

We keep account information and pet records for as long as your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete your account and pet records, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No online service is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. Use a strong, unique password.

You can:

• See and update your account and pet details in your account.
• Delete your account from the Account page.
• Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
• Withdraw your consent, for example by turning off location access in your browser.

vetkar is for adults. Please don't create an account if you are under 18.

If we make a significant change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you in the product or by email.
